Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Center, P.A. has been providing exceptional care to patients since 1997 when we first opened our doors in Greenwood, South Carolina. Our board-certified physicians are highly trained in state-of-the-art technology to provide our patients neurosurgical care that is ranked in the top-five percent in the nation.
Our physicians are Dr. Michael Kilburn, who joined the practice June 1999, Dr. Sumeer Lal , who came to us July 2004 and, our newest addition, Dr. Gregory McLoughlin, who joined us September 2010. Our physicians are adept in providing outstanding management of neck, back and brain injury and disease through both surgical and nonsurgical means.
We are proud to be part of the South Carolina Spine Center at Self Regional Healthcare. The South Carolina Spine Center provides faster, more efficient patient care through a newly developed, streamlined process in which one of our neurosurgeons will review your case individually and recommend the most appropriate level of treatment, including operative and non-operative measures. The hospital recently added intraoperative CT scanning (Brainlab iCT) for targeting and verification of spinal implant placement and navigation for cranial neurosurgery. This is the only such equipped operating room in the Southeast and only the fourth in the U.S.
We reserve surgery for patients who have received no benefit from other treatment options.
